In June, Coco di Mama won the Digital Initiative Award at the QSR Awards. This recognised the huge transformation the company has undergone to its network of stores and with Centegra Plus at the heart of it, we were thrilled to have played a part in this achievement.

During 2022, we worked closely with Coco di Mama as they revamped all sites including 16 existing and 3 new stores. With between 6 and 8 terminals per site, the aim was to reduce this number by adding a kitchen management system (KMS) to automate the flow of orders from point of sale to the kitchen.

A KMS says goodbye to printed orders and hello to a digitised order system that communicates directly from the sales channel to the restaurant kitchen, making it a far more sustainable way of operating for the future. Printed orders can also become mixed up or misplaced leading to errors that impact directly on the customer and the business.

Not only does it coordinate all sales in to one functionally rich Kitchen Management Solution to streamline and automate production, but it consolidates all sales channels directly to the kitchen giving them access to invaluable reporting and analytics.

What other improvements has Coco di Mama experienced?

Order speed has increased during peak times, maximising revenue opportunities and delivering a better experience for customers. Reducing the number of tills to 2 per store, each one has a sleeker and more minimal look, while the kitchens are operating with optimal efficiency. They now feature more kiosks (supplied by Vita Mojo) providing customers with an easy order experience.

Additional sections have been added providing greater space to prepare the pasta dishes and once kitchen production load balancing is in place other cook and preparation areas of the kitchen can be automatically opened up to cope with a high volume of orders during peak times.


Coco di Mama can now understand their kitchen performance better and have the ability to run reports at any time to give better insights into the improvements that need to be made with the agility and flexibility needed when operating multiple stores.
