As an independent restaurant they’re often forgotten amongst the bigger and well known brands but can be considered the unsung heroes of the culinary world, offering a rich tapestry of flavours, creativity, and community spirit. Unlike their chain and franchised counterparts, these eateries are often family-owned or chef-driven, bringing a unique and personal touch to every dish they serve. 

However, that doesn’t mean that the right technology can’t be at their fingertips and operating a traditional restaurant with table service at the core of its customer service, it was essential that Coast Restaurant & Bar had a POS system that was able to keep up with the changing nature of the hospitality business and how the restaurant needs to perform.

We have always worked closely with the team and as a result we’re best positioned to identify the need for the business to migrate over to a new POS system. In fact, the latest POS system is their third one over the last 10+ years. Therefore, when the time came for the legacy POS system to go and be replaced with a new version of Centegra POS, the team were keen to embrace all the new features that came with it.

The process was simple and non-business impacting, with mobile tablets to enable staff to take the orders outside and communicate them directly to the kitchen. It’s user friendly too and is completely tailored to the way the restaurant and its team operate. The build of the system and layout is designed to support in-house workflows, allowing them to serve customers efficiently. This is further enhanced by the orderly manner in which each order is taken, received by the kitchen and delivered to the table.
